The new product line replaces the successful LS series, offering significant improvements in efficiency, weight reduction, and sustainability.
Hispacold is launching its new Zephyr range of HVAC systems for combustion buses and coaches, designed to deliver superior performance compared to its predecessor, the renowned LS range. Featuring advanced capabilities, the Zephyr range sets a new benchmark in climate control for transportation vehicles.
Innovation in Efficiency and Sustainability
The Zephyr systems boast key enhancements, including reduced weight, smaller dimensions, and improved energy efficiency. These features result in lower energy consumption and a reduced refrigerant charge compared to the previous range. The units incorporate an innovative central suction system along with gradual air renewal capability, enhancing interior air quality within vehicles.
Additionally, the Zephyr systems include upgrades to the evaporator, such as aluminum coils and high-performance turbines, optimizing cooling capacity and ensuring more efficient and durable operation.
The new Zephyr equipment also introduces advancements in the condenser, including weight and size reduction. The copper-aluminum tube and fin battery system has been replaced by a single micro-channel heat exchanger, significantly reducing gas charge requirements and delivering environmental and economic benefits. Moreover, the usual five axial fans have been replaced with only three higher-performance fans.
Commitment to the Environment
Aligned with its commitment to sustainability, Hispacold offers the Zephyr range with alternative and eco-friendly refrigerants, such as R513a, which help reduce environmental impact. Additionally, the systems can optionally include hot water heating, providing an efficient solution for both heating and cooling within the same unit.
Adaptability and Robustness
The new Zephyr range is designed to be highly versatile, enabling adaptation to various vehicle roof curvature radii and the positioning of refrigeration and electrical connections.
For extreme climate applications, a tropicalized version with four condenser motors is available, ensuring optimal performance even in the most demanding conditions.
With the launch of the Zephyr range, Hispacold strengthens its position as a leader in climate control for passenger transport vehicles, offering solutions that combine efficiency, durability, and sustainability for the new era of mobility.
